lighthouse hike

While Justin still had some "time off" (aka running lots of errands around the island, finding a house, doing lots of paperwork, etc.) we tried to treat the time like a "staycation" 

First try hiking with the new brace was a success.  It was only 2 miles but it was gorgeous. Supposedly you can see whales here this time of year. We didn't see any, but we typically have bad whale watching luck.  This hike is about 20 minutes from our house. 

We took a drive to the North Shore and ate some yummy Giovanni's Shrimp Shack, thanks Sami for the suggestion!  It was so good. Oh and Gluten Free.  And Mika got her first Matsumotos Hawaiian Shaved Ice. YUM!  We got some cheap end of the year tickets to the Polynesian Culteral Center and Mika got to see her first Polynesian dancers and make fishies from palm leaves.
