Esther and Dave visit Newport...

Lots to catch up on... I'll try to do one blog a day for the next couple of days. we had a couple of weeks of visits from grandparents!

As soon as Esther and Dave got to Newport and Esther offered us a date night, we sprinted to the Water Taxi and headed to the Newport Folk Festival to see one of my favorite singers. The Festival was at Fort Adams, one of the most unique forts ever... They had three stages, one on the water, one tucked away, and one on the inside of the fort. Very cool. Some lovely music, sunshine, a falafel wrap, and some shopping on the water, and we were home to a very happy Mika playing with Grandma Esther.

First photo- our water taxi.... Then the outside of the fort, us at the concert.

The last photo is of Dave and Justin Armstrong. Biking all over the island, their outfits were a hit. Bow-chica-Bow-wow Fishers. ;) And then a nice game of Backgammon (sp?) and cigars... while the ladies watch quality television (I sure hope Ali and Roberto Last... hehe)

More grandparent adventures blogs to come... Shortly after Dave and Esther, we got a visit from My dad and Andy, and then Yaya! And in September Obaachan (Grammy Kei aka as my mom) Mika was sad to miss Grandpa Dan and Joojichan (aka Papa Michael)

Sleep when baby sleeps. over and out.
